Protect Your Tailgate and Taillights from Theft

Even if your tailgate is locked, it's still vulnerable. Thieves can access the latch by removing the inner panel, then drop the tailgate to steal it — along with your taillights.

The TailGuard™ tailgate bracket blocks access to the latch mechanism from inside the bed, helping prevent unauthorized entry and removal of your tailgate assembly.

Kit Includes:

• 1x Driver-side bracket (textured black powder-coated)
• 1x Passenger-side bracket (textured black powder-coated)
• 2x 1/2"-13 Stainless Steel Carriage Bolts (black powder-coated heads)
• 4x Aluminum Washers
  
• 2x Polycarbonate Bushings (3D-printed)
• 2x Stainless Steel Lock Washers
• 2x Zinc-plated Grade 8 hex nuts

Fitment Notes:

• Uses the top stock hole in the rear bed posts
• Fitment varies based on bed liner thickness
• Without a liner, bushings may feel slightly loose (this won’t affect function)
• Previous modifications to the post holes may impact bracket alignment

⚠️ Don’t Forget: Secure the Tailgate Cover Screws

While the TailGuard protects the latch from inside, many Ford trucks use T25 Torx screws on the tailgate cover — which are easily removed with common tools.
