Taillight theft has become a problem. Protect your rig with LightGuard, our Tail light theft deterrent kit specifically designed for 2017 and newer Ford Super Duty Trucks. With replacement tail lights costing over $2k each and wait times for replacement parts stretching into weeks, don't let thieves leave you with a financial and logistical burden.
Why LightGuard: Because covering one taillight fastener is just silly when taillights cost $2k a piece to replace. Patent pending LightGuard covers both taillight fasteners. Mounts using the upper cable support bolt and is protected by a machined 6061 aluminum piece. This billet piece is held in place with patented security fasteners requiring a bit that cannot be found in stores. Maximum security, easy no-drill installation.
Think covering both is 'overbuilt', well here's one instance of the bottom fastener not being removed but the taillight gone.

- Drive and Passenger side base brackets, made from 1/8" 5052 aluminum
- Light texture black powder coat
- Driver and Passenger side cover pieces, machined from billet 6061 aluminum
- Type III hard coat anodized black
- 10x stainless steel #10-24 patented security fasteners

Use this in conjunction with a tailgate theft prevention device like the Mcgard device to turn the cover on your six, up to eleven.

*2023 and newer trucks may need to remove the tailgate tie-down points in order for the brackets to fit. USE EXTREME CAUTION if leaving them installed as they will cause damage if they make contact with the LightGuard base bracket.

What is the LightGuard?
The LightGuard is a device to protect both tail lights on a Ford Super Duty truck from theft.
Why do I need the LightGuard?
Thieves are targeting Ford Super Duty tail lights because they are expensive and super easy to take.
You need the LightGuard to prevent them from stealing your tail lights.
LightGuard is the only tail light bracket on the market that prevents access to both fasteners, providing maximum protection for tail lights that can cost over $2k a piece.
Does LightGuard fit my truck?
LightGuard is compatible with all 2017+ Ford F250, F350 and F450 Super Duty trucks.
Can't thieves just remove the fasteners?
No!
The fasteners (regular and enhanced) are made by an American company that holds the patents to both fastener designs. This means only they can provide these fasteners and the bits needs to remove them. They do not sell to hardware stores so you will not find them in any hardware stores.
What are the brackets made of?
The base brackets are made of 5052 aluminum. The cover pieces are made of machined 6061 aluminum. All aluminum is American/America-friendly.
The fasteners are stainless steel.
All aluminum parts are Type III hard-coat anodized black.
Where is LightGuard made?
Everything is made in the USA but we are proud to say the base bracket and cover pieces are produced and anodized by shops in Oklahoma.
The kit fit my 2025 Ford super duty perfectlyand install was very straightforward particularly if you watched the online videos in advance. The texture on the parts was a near perfect match for my bedliner.

Excellent product. Peace of mind knowing my truck can detoured thieves. Why the one star? The screw lock heads are ok but the screwdrive bit break off. Luckily this kit came with the hood lock guard and had a Second bit. I would recommend replacing the screws. I haven’t installed the hood guard until I find screw replacements.
