OmahaBravo Designs help prevent the theft of Ford Super Duty parts

A company called Omaha Bravo Designs has come up with a genius way to help prevent the theft of Ford Super Duty parts like the tailgate and taillights.

The Ford F-Series line of pickups – which consists of the Ford F-150 and Ford Super Duty – has remained atop the American sales charts for decades to this point, proving to have real staying power in that regard.

The historic and arguably unrivaled popularity of these trucks is truly something to note, but unfortunately for owners, the same reasons they love their F-Series pickups also make them quite appealing to thieves. Savvy criminals have been gravitating more toward stealing individual parts from vehicles like the Ford Super Duty in recent years, but now, there’s a pretty cool way to help prevent that type of crime.

That method comes to us from Omaha Bravo Designs, which is now taking pre-orders for what it calls the AllGuard kit. This kit actually contains three individual parts that can also be purchased separately – the HoodGuard, TailGuard and LightGuard – which are designed to make it harder to pop the hood in a 2017-2022 Ford Super Duty model, as well as steal the taillights or tailgate – all incredibly expensive components given the prevalence of technology, such as sensors, that Ford incorporates into them these days.

The AllGuard kit retails for a rather reasonable $180, or customers can purchase the HoodGuard individually for $35, the TailGuard for $65, and the LightGuard for $95-$125, depending on what finish they choose. The HoodGuard comes with a powder-coated matte black bracket and stainless steel hardware, and is designed to prevent thieves from being able to easily pop the hood an gain access to the horn, which they typically disable before trying to steal the truck – making for a quieter getaway.

As for the TailGuard, it helps make life harder for thieves looking to make off with the taillights or tailgate, which it accomplishes with textured black powder-coated driver and passenger brackets that protect the latch opening, along with new bolts that make it more difficult to remove. If for some reason thieves can still lower the tailgate, the LightGuard provides an additional layer of protection for the taillights and tailgate with brackets and cover plates for both taillight fasteners, making life harder for those that try and remove either.

Given the fact that these parts can cost thousands of dollars to replace, depending on the model, spending $180 sure seems like a cheap bit of insurance that may help prevent Ford Super Duty owners from becoming victims of this increasingly common – and expensive – crime.
