Designed specifically for slide-in campers, these brackets hold your tailgate securely in the down position when you want to load your camper but DON'T want to remove your tailgate. Designed to utilize the existing cable support fastener holes we've eliminated any need to permanently modify your pickup while making installation straightforward.
Made of 3/16" thick 5052 aluminum. Kit includes two aluminum brackets, 3d printed ASA spacers, stainless hardware and a small mesh bag to store spacers/hardware when not in use.
Offered in raw or black anodize. Please allow two weeks for anodizing.
WARNING: DO NOT use these brackets to haul material or any other object in the bed of your pickup. These brackets are NOT designed for a weight-bearing tailgate. DO NOT PUT ANY WEIGHT on the tailgate while these brackets are installed as it could result in injury and/or damage to the tailgate. Installation of both brackets is recommended for proper tailgate support.
For those worried about their tailgate while traveling, there are paint protection companies that make pre-cut PPF kits specifically for the tailgate. I do not have any recommendations. I just know they exist and am sharing so you can be informed of one potential solution.
